Do I need a building permit to install a wind turbine?+

Usually no. Since DOSPEL Dragon is installed directly on the roof as an integrated device (like a ventilation chimney or solar panel), it is not considered a standalone structure. However, we always recommend coordinating the installation with the local municipality and, if necessary, the building's residents' association.

Is it really that quiet? What about the neighbors?+

Yes. That is Dragon's biggest advantage. According to the PN-EN 61400-11 certificate, the turbine's noise level at 8 m/s wind is only < 44 dB. That is quieter than the average air-to-water heat pump outdoor unit! Your neighbors won't even notice.

What happens during autumn storms and hurricanes?+

The turbine has built-in double protection. If the wind speed exceeds the safe limit, the smart controller's automatic aerodynamic and electronic storm brake is activated, safely stopping the rotation of the blades.

How is maintenance performed?+

Thanks to direct-drive neodymium magnets and a brushless design, the system is virtually maintenance-free. Sealed bearings and a weatherproof housing ensure reliability for decades without the need to climb the mast.
